The event
Move with purpose.
In 2026, the fundraising team will complete a movement challenge: spin, strength, or pilates focused.
We are so grateful to partner with Hustl & Flow to raise donations for WRHN's Cancer Research Team.
Exercise is changing cancer care. WRHN recently took part in a study that yielded encouraging results for the impact of exercise in colon cancer patients. Regular exercise lowered the risk of death by about one-third.
Exercise reduced the chance of cancer coming back or developing again. These results drove oncologists and scientists at WRHN to prioritize local studies on exercise for cancer patients.

Cancer research has been a meaningful part of our lives for over 15 years. It has shaped how we think about prevention, treatment, and what it truly means to support people not just through cancer, but beyond it.
What is The Movement?
We have come to believe that research is one of the most powerful ways to create real change. It is how we move from reacting to cancer to improving care, outcomes, and quality of life over time.
After committing 15+ years to fundraising for research, some of our favourite moments have been the community-based events. We have watched our friends push their boundaries in honour of their loved ones, our families have served as pit crews, and it has always been the people who make every event more powerful than the last.
The Movement is our version of honouring the past 15 years of fundraising. We are doubling down on our community and committing to 15+ more years of moving our bodies in the name of life-changing research. It's our movement.
Who is WRHN?
We are supporting the WRHN Cancer Research Team because of the direct impact it has on our community. WRHN supported 13,450 patients in 2024, participates in 30+ active cancer studies, and is a regional leader in cancer care. Their work is helping to build evidence around something simple, but powerful: movement. Studies have shown that exercise can improve recovery, reduce recurrence, and even lower the risk of death, yet access is not always equal or easy during and after treatment.
The study we are fundraising for focuses on understanding the barriers that make it difficult for people to stay active, and how to create programs that are more accessible, practical, and sustainable for patients.
This event is our way of bringing that to life. It is about moving our bodies, celebrating life, and contributing to research that is making care better for people in our own community.
We are so grateful to have you in our lives and to share this with you.
